Concord Schools, City to Host Youth Mental Illness Event Wednesday
Mental illness in youth populations is rising at a steady rate across the country in a generation that is prone to the influences of social media and cyberbullying.
On Wednesday, the Concord School District in partnership with the Concord Parks & Recreation Department is hosting a public event on how to talk to Concord youth about the effects and stigmas of mental health and available resources, according to a press release from CSD.
The event will be held from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the City Wide Community Center on Canterbury Road in Concord.
Food will be provided to those in attendance.
