Crews Working To Reinforce Seawalls For Winter

Crews are hard at work trying to make sure seawalls along the Granite State coast are reinforced for the winter.

The Department of Transportation says back-to-back storms last winter left Route 1A in Rye severely damaged.

Wall sections that were destroyed are being removed and replaced with a more solid base to prevent a similar problem from happening again.

The project should finish up by late December and is expected to cost up to 400-thousand dollars.
