Data Shows Overdoses Dropping in Nashua and Manchester
Data is showing the number of opioid overdoses is continuing to decline in two of the Granite State’s largest cities.
American Medical Response says Manchester is on track to have 21% fewer overdoses this year and Nashua’s overdoses are projected to be down 9% in 2024.
Several factors are contributing to this drop such as the availability of Narcan and more substance abuse treatment programs.
But there are concerns about the threat of carfentanil, which is used to tranquilize large animals.
