Debate Over Pot Legalization Continues in Legislature

The debate over legalizing the sale of marijuana for recreational purposes still isn’t over in the state Legislature.

The House is now proposing changes to a bill such as making possession of up to two ounces of cannabis a finable offense.

A bill in the Senate sets that threshold at three-quarters of an ounce.

The House Majority leader says he’s hoping these compromises will help legislation clear the Senate.

New Hampshire is the only state in New England that doesn’t allow recreational marijuana sales.
