Dover Man Sentenced for Deadly Accident

A 45-year-old Dover man who killed a retired Hudson police officer in a hit-and-run accident will spend at least five-years in prison.

Craig Sprowl was sentenced Wednesday for the September 2021 death of 59-year-old Donna Briggs.

She was struck while bicycling on Route 125 in Kingston.

According to police Sprowl said he hit Briggs when he dozed off and that when he circled back, he saw nothing and drove away.
