Driver Rescued After Truck Ends Up in Water in Londonderry

A man is recovering after being rescued from Beaver Brook in Londonderry.

Emergency responders were called to the scene off Mammoth Road around 9:00 p.m. on Friday.

Authorities say the driver lost control of his pickup truck and veered off the roadway, ending up trapped in several feet of fast-moving water.

Rescuers were able to pull him out and transport him to a hospital in Manchester.

The state Department of Environmental Services was called in to evaluate the possible environmental impact of the vehicle going into the water.
