Driver Snaps Utility Pole in Gilford
According to the Laconia Daily Sun, a driver suffered minor injuries after crashing into a utility pole off Cherry Valley Road Wednesday morning.
At around 9:20 a.m., a single-vehicle collision occurred on Route 11A, just east of Gunstock Mountain Resort.
Gilford Police Captain Dustin Parent reported that a westbound vehicle operated by a female driver left the roadway and collided with a utility pole, snapping it in half.
Parent said the driver suffered minor injuries in the crash.
He said there was no sign of intoxication, no other vehicles involved, and no other passengers in the vehicle, which had to be towed from the scene.
The driver was wearing a seat belt.
