Drug Take Back Day is Saturday
Towns and Cities in New Hampshire are taking part in National Prescription Drug take back day. It takes place twice a year, usually in the fall and spring, and gives people the chance to get rid of any old, unwanted prescription drugs in their homes. This Saturday, collection sites can accept only pills or patches. Liquids, needles, syringes and sharps cannot be accepted. John Delena of the DEA said on Good Morning NH “Sadly, this country saw 107,000 drug overdose deaths in a 12-month period, the most this nation has ever seen. 290 a day, 1 every 5 minutes, suffering from an overdose, this is the time to do something about this crisis”.
