Fire Truck Rented for Pease Airport

The New Hampshire National Guard has rented a fire truck from Rhode Island for use at Portsmouth International Airport at Pease.

The Guard’s three airport fire trucks have been out of service since last year and two loaners had mechanical issues last week.

The airport was closed to all large planes because the FAA requires at least one fire truck available for heavy aircraft to land or take off.
