Former School Employee Charged with Sexually Assaulting Minor

A former school employee in Newport is facing charges for allegedly sexually assaulting a minor.

Police say 34-year-old Isaiah Grenier was a paraprofessional at the Granite High School and his victim was a 14-year-old student.

A report of the girl running away from home led police to finding out that she was hanging out with Grenier.

He is facing several charges, including aggravated felonious sexual assault.
