General Sullivan Bridge, Building a New Bike-Pedestrian Bridge

The cost of dismantling most of the old General Sullivan Bridge and building a new bike-pedestrian bridge is expected to be $35.6 million, partially funded through a grant and supplemented with state turnpike toll revenue.

The new construction project will not interrupt Spaulding Turnpike traffic and will not require any lane closures to accommodate construction needs.

The project is expected to be completed in four years.
