Gilford Teen Saves Boat from Disaster on Lake Winnipesaukee

A Gilford teen is being hailed a hero after stopping a runaway boat on Lake Winnipesaukee this week.

It happened Wednesday afternoon in Smith’s Cove when the captain of the speedboat fell overboard.

That’s when 17-year-old Brady Procon jumped onto the boat from a Jetski that was operated by a neighbor.

Brady was able to gain control of the boat and stop it from going any further.
