Granite State Sees 23K New Residents Call New Hampshire Home Since July 2020
New Hampshire is getting more crowded. State officials say more than 23,000 new residents have set down roots in the Granite State over the past three years.
According to U.S. Census Bureau statistics, Carroll County leads the state with new residents, showing an 8.7% increase between July 2020 and July 2023.
Meanwhile, Coos, Sullivan and Cheshire counties, which had experienced out-migration over the past decade, reportedly have seen that trend do a 180 during the same three-year period.
Census bureau sources say New Hampshire’s population now stands at just under 1.4 million.
