Hanover’s Dartmouth College Sees Big Jump in Applications
A record number of high-school graduating students are applying to New Hampshire’s Dartmouth College.
School officials say they’ve received applications for 31,000 would-be alums, a mere 1,700 of whom have been accepted, which yields an acceptance rate of a little over 5%.
That record-high application figure reportedly comes as fellow Ivy League schools such as Harvard and Yale have seen a decline in applications.
Authorities say the total cost of attending the prestigious college can be as high as $90,000 per year.
