Injured Hiker Rescued from Mount Major in Alton

A 32-year-old Centerville, Virginia, man is safe after he was rescued Tuesday afternoon from Mount Major in Alton.

Muhammad Naizi slipped and fell, injuring his back as he descended the Blue Trail.

He was unable to walk and called 911.

New Hampshire Fish and Game officers, Alton and Gilmanton firefighters and Lakes Region Search and Rescue responded and took Naizi to the trailhead.
