Londonderry Motorist Due in Court Monday on Murder Charge Following Laconia Beef
A Londonderry man faces attempted capital murder and related charges after he allegedly struck a Laconia police officer Thursday night.
Police say 38-year-old Justin Spirko was behind the wheel when he punched the throttle and accelerated toward Officer Erica Beliveau outside the Sun Valley Cottages around 8 p.m.
Officer Beliveau reportedly jumped out of the way and escaped injury.
Police say Spirko then tried to flee but was apprehended and arrested a short time later following a struggle with other officers on Endicott Street North.
He is scheduled to go before a judge on Monday.
