Long Wait Times; 30 NH Residents Waiting For Inpatient Care For Mental Health
The pandemic has been quite devastating. We have seen an absolute rise in mental health issues in youth and increased anxiety, depression and suicide not only in New Hampshire, but across the country.
Right now, there are 16 adults and 14 minors waiting in the NH Hospital Emergency Rooms to be admitted for inpatient care for mental health issues.
“COVID has had a significant, very real increase in the number of people suffering with stressors from the pandemic”, Susan Stearns, Executive Director of NAMI NH, told Good Morning New Hampshire.
