Manchester Officials and Housing Director Clash
Manchester’s director of housing stability is facing a termination hearing on Thursday, which could be the final round of a battle between Adrienne Beloin and city officials.
The tension between Beloin and members of the Board of Aldermen boiled over last week over homelessness issues.
Aldermen criticized Beloin for alluding that the board does not understand the issues while some charged Beloin with speaking in an unprofessional manner.
In a later interview, Beloin continued her criticism of the board.
One other chapter in the matter included the board’s decision to move Beloin’s office to the city’s homeless shelter.
Beloin is now on paid leave.
She declined further comment, as did Mayor Jay Ruais, calling the subject a personnel matter.
