Motor Yacht That Caught Fire And Sank Last Month Off NH Coast Towed To Salvage Yard
(New Castle, NH) — A yacht that caught fire and sank off New Castle’s Little Harbor last month is back above water.
Coast Guard officials say crews spent much of yesterday morning retrieving the 70-foot motor yacht ‘Too Elusive’ from the depths off Kittery, Maine.
The blaze that flared up on June 18th forced three boaters and two dogs to jump ship.
They reportedly found refuge with a nearby lobsterman.
Plans are for the vessel’s charred remains to be towed to an area salvage yard so state police can determine what may have sparked the fire.
