New Mural Inside Concord Bank Displays Talent of Busy Artist from Middle East
A giant mural depicting multi-cultural references now adorns the Bank of New Hampshire stage.
City officials say the mural by artist Saal Hindal depicts its creator’s vision of Concord, its people, and their day-to-day lives and activities.
Hindal, who lives with his family in Concord, says the commission he earned to paint the mural means he won’t have to travel back to his native Egypt this year to ply his trade.
Hindal fled his home in Iraq in 2006 before moving his family to Concord 15 years ago.
Since then, officials say, he has sold hundreds of works depicting Concord’s neighborhoods, buildings, and landmarks.
