New Program Looks to Add Nurses in NH

A new program has been launched that’s aimed at quickly increasing the number of nurses in New Hampshire hospitals.

Portsmouth Regional Hospital, Frisbie Memorial Hospital in Rochester, and Parkland Medical Center in Derry are giving nursing students the opportunity to work alongside licensed registered nurses.

That allows students to get hands-on experience and have their questions answered.

Once those students pass the necessary exams, they’re hired as nurses.
