With bipartisan support, the NH House last week passed a bill to legalize and tax recreational marijuana in New Hampshire.  However, it’s fate in the Senate is unclear and Governor Chris Sununu has opposed legalization in the past.  New Hampshire is the only state in New England where recreational pot remains illegal.  

The average price for a gallon of regular gas in New Hampshire is three-dollars-29-cents.  That’s an increase of seven-cents from a week ago according to Triple A. The current national average is three-dollars-60-cents per gallon.    

 A Nashua teen reported missing Friday morning by his family has been located and is safe.  Police said 17-year-old Lelan Dominguez was found yesterday and reunited with his family.  

A house in New Boston was damaged last night when a shed fire spread. The initial investigation indicates the homeowner was boiling sap on a wood stove behind the shed and that embers got inside.  Authorities said the shed is a total loss but damage to the house is repairable.     

New Hampshire is ranked eighth-best among the top ten states for camping.  The ranking is from the camping website Adventure on the Rocks.  Various factors were considered in compiling the rankings including the number of national parks and landmarks, available campsites, hiking trails and animal diversity. 

More hospitals across the Granite State are dropping their mask mandates as the spread of COVID-19 slows. Starting today, Dartmouth Health says it will be optional for patients to wear a mask. Concord Hospital and Portsmouth Regional Hospital have also recently eliminated mask mandates. Last week, the number of active COVID-19 cases fell below 500 for the first time since July 2021.
