NH State Troopers Reflect On Running Boston Marathon
Among the tens of thousands of runners who covered the 26.2 miles from Hopkinton to Boylston in this year’s Boston Marathon were two members of the New Hampshire State Police.
State Police Troopers Catherine Shackford and Thomas Sandberg ran as part of the Cops for Kids with Cancer team.
“I wanted to be a part of the marathon. I have wanted to do it for years, this was the year. It was a fanastic experience for my first time, I got lucky”, Trooper Shackford said on Good Morning New Hampshire.
The Massachusetts State Police donated the bids to New Hampshire State Police.
“The crowds and the support. It was amazing to see people who you don’t even know cheering you on”, Tropper Sandberg told Jack Heath.
