No Arrests After Apparent Assault, Response with Mace, Thursday Night in Concord
Police are investigating Thursday night’s apparent mace attack in Concord.
Department sources say officers were called to the scene at Maple and Union streets shortly after 10 p.m., arriving to find the female victim in distress.
She told officers she’d been attacked by a black man who appeared to be in his 40s, riding an electric scooter.
She said the man took off after the victim shot him with mace.
Officers were called to Centre and North State streets a short time later in response to a call that a man had been maced.
Other officers found a discarded mace canister a short time later on North State Street.
No arrests were announced.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
