One Injured, Utility Pole Knocked Down Following Friday-Evening Crash in Concord

One person is injured following Friday’s early evening vehicle collision in East Concord.

Local police say the crash involving a Toyota Prius and a Mazda CX5 crossover happened shortly before 6 p.m. at Mountain and Hoit roads.

First responders who arrived at the scene told everyone to get out of their vehicles because of fears that a fallen utility pole posed a danger.

One person reportedly suffered an unspecified leg injury in the crash.

Cause is under investigation.
