Pease Shutdown Shows Need for New Rescue Vehicles

New Hampshire’s congressional delegation has asked the Air Force and National Guard to provide new fire and rescue vehicles in the wake of a recent temporary stoppage of flights at the Guard base and Portsmouth International Airport at Pease.

The airport had to restrict heavy planes from landing for parts of a couple of days in early October because there were no functioning fire trucks and rescue equipment on site.
