Pedestrian Taken to Hospital After Accident in Meredith
A woman was taken to a hospital on Thursday afternoon after being struck by a vehicle.
Lt. Philip McLaughlin of the Meredith Police Department said that a 65-year-old woman was walking in the crosswalk at the end of Pleasant Street, at the intersection with Route 25, when she was struck by a vehicle at around 3:40 p.m.
McLaughlin said the pedestrian ‘suffered serious injuries’ in the collision.
The woman was transported to Concord Hospital-Concord according to the Laconia Daily Sun.
The driver, an 80-year-old Meredith woman, stopped at the scene, and did not display any signs of impairment.
No charges have yet been filed, the accident is still being investigated.
