Pilot Program for Homeless IDs in Manchester
A pilot program is being launched in Manchester to provide IDs to those experiencing homelessness.
Mayor Jay Ruais said having identification is a crucial step to help homeless people reclaim their independence and stability.
He said getting an ID is one of the hurdles faced by the unhoused, and while it’s not the most urgent, it’s a step forward.
The initiative is a collaboration with Members First Credit Union, which donated $1000, and Catholic Charities of New Hampshire acting as the fiscal agent.
