Plane Crash in Londonderry
A plane crashed in a Londonderry neighborhood earlier this morning. The pilot was the only person on board and he was one of the first to call 9-1-1.
The Londonderry Fire Chief said that a person onboard was extricated and taken to a hospital in Southern New Hampshire and has since been taken to a hospital in Boston. The extent of the pilot’s injuries are unknown but he was alert when he was taken from the wreckage. The Beechcraft 99 plane left Manchester-Boston Regional Airport and was heading to Presque Isle, Maine.
The plane crashed in the woods behind homes on Colonial Drive and according to Londonderry fire officials, there was no damage to any of the homes in the area.
