Pumpkin Festival Heads to Weirs Beach
When the New Hampshire Pumpkin Festival first came to the city in 2015, downtown was struggling, with about half of the storefronts vacant and the Colonial Theatre closed.
Eight years later, downtown is vibrant and the Colonial is hosting both national acts and theater productions.
This growth is part of the reasoning that the Lakes Region Chamber, which organizes Pumpkinfest, is moving the festival from downtown to Weirs Beach.
This year’s festival will be held on October 25th and 26th.
