The National Transportation Safety Board has released a preliminary report on a deadly plane crash at Lake Winnipesaukee.
The report said the aircraft was able to climb from a descent before ending up in the water in Gilford last month.
The pilot, 70-year-old Robert Ashe, was the only person on board the plane at the time of the tragedy.
Ashe’s brother told WMUR-TV that his sibling was planning to attempt to land at Laconia Airport after flying from Rhode Island.
