Salem Man Under Federal Indictment
A Salem man is under federal indictment for firearms offenses.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office said in January of this year 38-year-old Daniel Fratus was in possession of five rifles, three pistols and a sawed-off shotgun.
As a previously convicted felon, Fratus is prohibited from possessing firearms under federal law.
He appeared in U.S. District Court Thursday, and he is being detained.
