State Lawmakers May Reach Compromise on Gun Measure
It looks like state lawmakers may be able to reach a compromise on making changes to a gun law that’s currently in place.
A measure has been proposed that would close a loophole in the background checks that are required for gun purchases.
This legislation would allow the state to make a report to the federal background check system if someone has involuntarily been committed to a mental health facility or is considered a threat to themselves or others.
There’s no word yet if the bill will come up for a vote.
