State Police Seek Inmate Who Left Manchester Facility Before Dawn on Friday
State authorities are on the hunt for a minimum-security inmate who escaped from a Manchester transitional-housing unit early Friday.
Officials say 29-year-old Darian Young left the grounds of the Calumet Transitional Housing Unit sometime before 2 a.m.
He had been in custody on multiple charges, chief among them burglary and receiving stolen property.
He would have been eligible for parole at the end of the month.
Young is described as Caucasian, six feet tall and about 165 pounds.
He reportedly was last seen dressed in a slate-blue hoodie, jeans, a black hat, sunglasses, boots, and carrying a green backpack.
