Strafford County Sheriff Mark Brave Announces Resignation

Now-former Strafford County Sheriff Mark Brave has officially stepped down from his position.

Brave revealed his resignation Tuesday, months after he was accused of taking thousands of dollars in county funds, falsifying evidence, and also perjury.

In a statement, Brave said he believes it was best for him to no longer work as sheriff so he can focus on his legal battles.

He is currently out on bail.
