Sununu Says Felons Should Attend Trials
New Hampshire Governor Chris Sununu thinks defendants like Adam Montgomery should be required to attend their own trials.
While in custody, Montgomery chose not to attend the trial at which he was convicted of killing his five-year-old daughter Harmony.
The governor expressed surprise that a felony defendant didn’t have to attend their trial or sentencing.
Sununu supports a bill filed by Concord Democratic state Representative Steve Shurtleff that would require felons to attend.
