More Officers Leave in Wake of Chief Controversy
North Hampton officials have previously chalked up recent police departures to larger local communities offering higher salaries, along with the difficulty all police agencies are having keeping staff and filling vacancies.
Five officers have left since former North Hampton police chief Kathryn Mone, 42, unexpectedly announced her retirement on March 1st and later took a position at Maine’s York County Sheriff’s Department.
Due to a clause in her separation agreement, neither she nor local officials can discuss why she left.
