UNH Implementing Budget Cuts
The Museum of Art on the Durham campus of the University of New Hampshire is permanently closed.
The Boston Globe reported it’s due to budget cuts which also includes laying off or reducing the hours of about 75 employees.
In a message to faculty and staff, President James Dean said the university faces intense competition for students combined with rising wages and costs for goods and services.
He said steps must be taken to ensure UNH is on firm financial footing in coming years.
