Wind Speeds on Mt Washington

The Mount Washington Observatory recorded a gust of 161 mph yesterday, the highest daily peak gust since February 2019, when winds reached 171 mph.

The peak gust is also tied for the 19th highest daily gust since 1935.

Sustained winds ranged between 125 mph and 135 mph, with frequent gusts reaching up to 140 mph throughout the afternoon.
