3 Dead, Multiple Injuries After Collision Prompts Shutdown in Candia

Three people are dead and at least two others are hospitalized following Saturday’s head-on collision along Route 101 westbound in Candia.

Police say they got the call around 12:30 p.m. about the injury crash near the Depot Road overpass.

Officers called to the scene say one motorist was rushed to Elliot Hospital in critical condition.

At least two others were hospitalized with unspecified injuries.

Police say the crash prompted authorities to shut down traffic through the area for about three hours.

Cause of the crash is under investigation.
