Plainstow Attorney Surrenders Yacht Bought with COVID Relief Money
An attorney out of Plaistow is surrendering a yacht he illegally purchased with COVID-19 pandemic funds.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office says Robert M. Waters Junior of Waters and Associates purchased a 65-foot yacht with $340,000 worth of funds that he obtained from pandemic relief funds. Waters had been indicted on charges of wire fraud, theft of government funds, and money laundering, but the indictment is being dismissed as part of a civil settlement.
The yacht has been surrendered to federal authorities and now will be sent to auction.
