Woman Rescued from Merrimack River in Manchester

A woman described as distraught is undergoing a medical evaluation after being rescued from the Merrimack River in Manchester Thursday.

An Eversource employee noticed the woman acting erratically near the river and alerted authorities.

First responders launched two boats and set up a rope system to get to the woman.

They said the rescue was complicated by her mental state.
