State Fish & Game Officials: Beware of Bears as You Venture Outside this Summer
State fish and game officials are warning residents to be aware that warmer temperatures don’t just mean summer is around the corner.
They also set the stage for New Hampshire’s bears to come out from hibernation and seek out their first meal of the season.
For your safety, wildlife officials say you should take down bird feeders and avoid leaving unprotected trash bags outside your home.
It’s also not a good idea to leave pets outside at night during bear season.
