Earthquake Confirmed in Chesterfield Area

An earthquake is being confirmed to have hit Cheshire County this weekend.
U.S. Geological Survey says the 1.6 magnitude quake struck Chesterfield on Saturday morning.
Residents reported hearing a boom and feeling the ground shake as the quake struck.
No damage or injuries were reported.
