Bill Passed to Protect Sports Officials

CBS Boston reports a bill passed by the Legislature is intended to provide some protection for sports officials in New Hampshire.

Fans, players, or coaches who harass or assault officials at games could be banned for a specific period of time and repeat offenders could be banned for life.

Anyone who violates the ban could be held in criminal contempt and fined $1,000.
