NH State Police have announced that those two children from Somersworth have been found safe in Maine today following the amber alert. At this hour, the children’s mother, Kaileigh Nichols, is in custody and being held on felony interfering custody charges.

Original Story

New Hampshire State Police said an Amber Alert was issued this morning for two missing children from Somersworth.

Officials say 11-year-old Aliana Wilson and 8-year-old Chase Wilson were reported missing at around 9:45 last night.

Investigators said they were last seen at their home at Colonial Village Park at about 7:30 p.m.

Police believe Aliana and Chase were removed from the home through a window by their biological mother, 32 year old Kaileigh Nichols. They said the children live in the home with their grandmother, who has custody of them.

Police said Nichols was last seen driving a grey 2009 Honda Civic that she took from a relative in Maine. They said Nichols was seen in the car at a school event in Somersworth during the day Thursday. The car has Maine license veterans plate 2827A.
