Former Nurse Pleads Guilty to Taking Fentanyl from OR Patient
A former nurse is facing prison time after pleading guilty to taking fentanyl meant for an operating room patient.
Prosecutors say 64-year-old Robin Nichols admitted to taking the drug while working at Catholic Medical Center back in April.
Nichols swapped that patient’s fentanyl with saline and could be ordered to spend up to 10 years behind bars.
She has already agreed to give up her nursing license as part of her plea deal.
