Prosecutors Ask to Delay Start of Mark Brave Trial in Dover

Prosecutors are asking a judge to delay the start of former Strafford County Sheriff Mark Brave’s upcoming trial.

Plea negotiations in the case are ongoing and it’s possible more charges could be filed against Brave depending on how those talks go.

Brave is accused of stealing $19,000 in taxpayer money, falsifying evidence, and perjury and he stepped down from his role back in December.

His trial is currently set to begin in August.
