Laconia Police Chief Says No Significant Incidents During Motorcycle Week; Big Economic Boost

The Laconia Police chief saying on Good Morning New Hampshire officers responded to 39 accidents, 5 of them fatal during Motorcycle week.

Chief Matt Canfield told Jack heath the crowds were much bigger, and law enforcement were able to keep everything under wraps with no significant incidents.

“The biggest crowd in the last 5 years.  The weather was great.  Many businesses I talked to say businesses were pleased, not only in Laconia, but across the state”, Chief Canfield said.

Organizers say next year’s event, the 100th anniversary of Laconia Motorcycle Week, is now underway.
