Nashua Man Arrested for Vermont Bank Robbery
A 38-year-old Nashua man who allegedly robbed a Vermont bank and took off in a stolen car is in custody after a police chase in the White Mountains.
Police say Barry English entered the Passumpsic Savings Bank in Newport Monday.
He handed the teller a note saying he was armed and demanded money.
He left the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash. He was caught in Campton and is now facing charges of robbery and assault in Vermont. The investigation is ongoing.
